About
I am a practicing educational and developmental psychologist at St Margaret's Berwick Grammar and an academic at the University of Melbourne, where I specialise in teaching graduate courses on counselling skills and group work.
I am dedicated to nurturing and strengthening the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
I have over two decades of experience in educational settings and private practice and I hold a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Melbourne. My research explores the links between relationships, listening, and mental health, emphasising the crucial importance of listening to children.
I am actively involved in professional organisations, including the Australian Psychological Society (APS), where I serve as the Secretary of the APS National Positive Psychology Interest Group and am a Fellow of the APS College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists. At St Margaret’s Berwick Grammar, I have led the co-design and implementation of a whole-school mental health strategy, which received an Excellence Award for Best Student Wellbeing Program at the 2023 Australian Education Awards. I also work as a Psychology Board-approved supervisor, mentoring psychologists.
My aim is to help children and young people feel seen, heard, and valued so they can live happy and healthy lives.
